Success in dogs, humans and business

Whether you are trying to break into the field or you are in school to become a trainer, reading books is not enough in order to be successful at hands-on training or how to grow and run the business portion of it. We live and breathe both these things. As such we have had many people approach us asking for guidance. If you want to be a success, don’t try and reinvent the wheel, but instead come to us and we will bring you into the field with our cases to show you how to do the best job you can in as many circumstances as you can. We will also show you how to turn your skill and passion into a lucrative business. If you have a passion for working with dogs, reach out to Leading The Leash and we will show you the way.

As a student in the Animal Behavior College working to become a certified dog trainer I had the opportunity to work directly with Jeff, as well as Tyler, during my externship with ABC.  While the course work at ABC gave me a broad framework about the industry and some proven training methods, the time spent with Jeff and his LTL trainers was invaluable to me as a student.  Jeff’s ability to observe, diagnose and offer his expertise to dog owners was exceptional.  More importantly, Jeff took the time to help me understand the “WHST” (Why, How, Show Try) as he worked with both myself and his customers.  I was able to both observe and participate during appointments with a diverse number of dogs, owners and issues, some quite serious others basic but equally important to the owners and their animals.  His knowledge and understanding of several different approaches to training has allowed him to develop a style that dogs both understand and respond to via three different forms of communication using verbal, hand signals and body language. If you are an experienced trainer looking to improve upon your current skill set or a novice like me just breaking into the industry, I would strongly recommend Jeff and his team at Leading the Leash to help you further advance your career in the industry.

My Name is Stephanie Beltre and I am a student for Animal Behavior College. I became a student to learn a better understanding on dog training and being able to work with Jeff Fritz from Leading the Leash was the best thing I ever did for my progression as a student for ABC to become a better Trainer! Over the time I spent having Jeff as my mentor, we worked many different dogs with all ranging issues like aggression, fear, over-excitement and anxiety just to name a few. I was able to learn and understand different techniques that I was able to apply for some of the other dogs I have trained on my own time! After every session I felt I learned to understand a new mindset in the techniques used for different problem behaviors. It was a great experience being a part of his training sessions and being able to watch him work with his clients and help their owners and dogs have a better communication to successfully get the behavior they wanted achieved! I am

lucky to have a mentor from Leading the Leash like Jeff. Worth every moment!!
